Jim started racing with this Super Modified Race Car where he got his 'big block' experiance to later drive Sprint-Cars. He mainly raced this at the Whiteman Raceway in Pacoima, So. California.
It was a very kewl and fun car. His immediate family was usually his 'Pit Crew' back then ... Don (step-father), Chuck (his Brother,) Mike Kerringer (friend) and a couple others. Me, My Mother, Jims Wife Connie, Agnes my Grandmother (Jims Mom) where all in the stands supporting, cheering and rooting him on.
After about a year and a half in the Super Modified Race world division, he sold the modified and bought his Midget Race Car. He drove midgets for about 8 or so years and then went to Sprint cars.
